Review of Sparklehearts Natural Body Products for Girls

Girls in their tweens, pre-teens, and older will most certainly start to take notice of the "girly" bath and body lines sold at most stores. While I don't usually buy separate products for my 10-year-old (mostly out of cost), I do like exploring products that meet her basic hygiene needs and are made from natural ingredients.

Sparklehearts products do both, AND they are easy on the eyes (and the nose.) These products are made from 99.6% natural ingredients and come in some pretty flashy packaging (the shampoo looks like something out of a bubblegum pop video -- complete with glittery font and a hot pink pump dispenser.) My daughter tried the shampoo and conditioner out last week, and the verdict was 100% positive. "It smells awesome, Mom!" she remarked.

I had to try it out myself, however... I wasn't going to be sure it was truly cleansing until I gave it a go on my stressed-out summer hair. The shampoo smelled very sweet (but not in a nauseating way) and did a good job of cleaning my hair -- NOTE that it wasn't "squeaky" clean, nor did it lather up quite like most commercial shampoos do, but I think that this is due to the natural ingredients. The conditioner was equally as fragrant, and left my hair very soft and easy to comb out.

All in all, this is a good line for families looking for a gentler, more natural, (but not at all kid-unfriendly) hygiene option. Sparklehearts also makes detangler, body wash, and body lotion, and all products are priced at $12.49 for enough product to last a few months.
