Review of Smooshies!

Cool toys are hard to come by, and when we were recently sent a *sample of Smooshies cuddly, plush, and interchangeable creatures to try out, I thought "Huh? What's the deal with this really basic toy?" But let's get honest for a minute: Isn't it the more simple and open-ended toys that kids really enjoy the most? In this case, Smooshies outperformed most of our battery-operated faves.

The deal on Smooshies is this:

They are a plush, soft toy with velcro "parts." Arms, legs, eyes, eyebrows, mouths, you name it. Kids can place them on the body in any fashion, and remove them just as easily. It's not rocket science... it's just fun!

Here is a pic of my almost-3-year-old having a blast with the Smooshie after his brothers abandoned it for lunch. (Note: Smooshies are not recommended for kids under 3, as the parts could be easy to swallow. But my little guy is well-supervised, so it worked out OK.)


Each Smooshie comes with enough parts to get you started, but if you want even more fun, I would recommend getting an additional bag of parts. Available exclusively at Joann.com, Smooshies are simple, safe fun for ages 3 and up.

    I know it sounds silly but I want to win one so my mother can use it with the greatgrand kids when they come over. She is at that age where sometimes she forgets certain things. It would be useful for her and the great grands when they visit because they are soft and do not take up space. they are colorful and eye catching. They do not make noise and she can handle the objects with no pain in her hands. I think they will play well together :)

    I'd love to win this for my niece, she'd have a great time tearing it apart and changing it around.
