I love taking my kids out to restaurants, but sometimes, the menus and portion sizes can be confusing and frustrating. We had an opportunity to try out a selection of dishes from Noodles & Company, recently, and I was totally impressed with what they had to offer:
1. This isn't a one-size-fits-all eating establishment. In lieu of kids menus (which are sometimes a bit skimpy on portions -- even for my 6-year-old), they have regular and small sizes of every dish! That means, I can get the dish I want, and if my kid wants to have what I'm having -- they can (only in a more reasonable portion.)
2. The options are endless. Instead of your traditional pasta and sauce fare, they have a wide-range of proteins (shrimp, soy, chicken) that can be added or subbed to any menu item. You can also double up on cheese or veggies!
3. They have asparagus! One of my fave veggies, I prefer it fresh from the ground where my grandma grows it. If prepared correctly, however, it's also good in commercial or restaurant dishes. Check out the featured menu item at Noodles & Company: Asparagus & Lemon Linguine Dish!!
4. It offers a healthy alternative. Yes, my fave is always the cheesiest dishes, but with baby #5 on the way, I know I should be eating healthy -- for both of us! I'm so glad that many of the menu options are sensible and contain enough seasonings and fresh ingredients to not sacrifice on flavor.
The verdict is pretty much a positive one: With so many soups, salads, and, of course -- noodles -- to choose from. Everyone can eat at Noodles & Company and be happy!
I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour campaign by Mom Central on behalf of Noodles & Company and received five Noodles & Company bowl cards to facilitate my review. Mom Central also sent me a thank-you gift certificate.
