New School Year, New Wardrobe!

The one thing I LOVE about back-to-school shopping is the clothes.  While I don't particularly like having to come up with the extra cash, I adore finding cute outfits for my kids to wear that aren't stained, full of holes, or too small (you know what I mean.)  I have three kids who especially enjoy clothes shopping, and they were thrilled to find that I had scored several really nice outfits for them to wear this fall at Walmart.  Between the regular back-to-school sales and the clearance section, we got 2 complete outfits for each of the 3 boys for less than $60!  We also stocked up on shoes, socks, and underwear.

Here are the highlights:
  • Graphic tees are usually around $5 for boys (less if on sale.)  Hello Kitty Tees for girls are as low as $7!
  • Boys jeans in brands like Wrangler are as low as $15, and they come in a variety of sizes, including slim and husky.
  • Hanes Boys Boxer Briefs (the kind my kids wear) are on sale this time of year for less than $6 for a 4-pack! (This is even better than my local Dollar Store, and they are much higher quality.)
  • Walmart.com offers many bundles designed to help you save more.  Find socks, uniform essentials, and underwear/undershirt sets in larger packs with a lower per piece price!
These are the two items my oldest son is most proud of.

He thinks that the George dress shirts for boys makes him look "grown up", and they can be worn with slacks or jeans.  He also likes any of the graphic tees with a music theme.

What about you?  Do you enjoy shopping for clothes for your kids?  Price tag aside, what items do you look forward to buying?
