When the Punishment Doesn't Fit the Crime

My husband is always questioning whether the punishments I dole out are fitting for the infraction.  I tend to use the "time out" a bit more than I should, and often the kids deserve a harsher punishment.  In Season 2 of the Middle, Axl gets benched from his basketball game for leaving socks around the house.  Given he has a family legacy to uphold, this seems a bit harsh.

Have you ever punished your kids in a way that didn't really connect to their crime?  Or perhaps you don't punish nearly enough?  (We prefer to call it "consequences".)  Find out what other parents are doing right (or wrong) in Season 2 of the Middle!

*I have been hired by Warner Bros. WBWord division to promote The Middle Season Two on DVD.
