What's Your Favorite Summer Veggie Moment? #giveaway

Today was a bit of a sad day.  My husband tore up the dead and spent veggie plants from our garden today, harvesting what was left, and giving a little water to those that were still (miraculously) producing.  While we have a few tomatoes and peppers giving us produce, most everything else is preparing to die before the fall.

We looked at all the squash and zucchini that we harvested and were surprised to find a lone canteloupe hiding under some weeds.  It was very ripe, and we were able to eat it!  I can't imagine a better surprise today...

While the season is coming to a close, there are so many wonderful ways we have enjoyed eating our veggies this year.  Most of the time, a light steaming with a little salt and pepper was our favorite.  (I actually also enjoy a tiny dab of Country Crock spread on mine for some extra indulgence.)
