Catch a New Halloween Episode of #Suburgatory Tonight on ABC!

Halloween is a favorite time of mine for watching TV.  It seems like all my top shows are having special "Halloween"-themed episodes, and Suburgatory is no exception.

I had the opportunity to screen a preview of tonight's Halloween episode: "The Witches of East Chatswin".  It had all the goofy fun of your typical episode, complete with ridiculous costumes.  There was even that special "awwww" moment that I've come to expect from this show.

Perhaps the best part of preparing for the new episode, however, was my interview with Cheryl Hines, who plays Dallas on the show.  I was joined by a few bloggers to hear her talk over the phone about her role, as well as what we can expect from future episodes.  I can only tell you that things get heated on the show!

I was able to ask her about the level of energy that she brings to Dallas' character (because we all know that she is quite the peppy person.)  Cheryl told me this about how she does it:
"It can be exhausting sometimes. I mean I have a lot of lines and my character’s a bit of a fast talker and she does have a lot of energy. So but, you know, she’s - have you ever been around somebody who you know if they’re at the party you’ll have a good time? Because at the very least you’ll be entertained by that person. Maybe you’ll have an interesting conversation with them or maybe you’ll just sit across the room and watch them all night but that’s who I think Dallas is. I think she’s a lot of fun to be around.
And she looks at the sunny side of everything. And I think that’s where her energy comes from, sort of a optimistic hopefulness of what the next moment will bring - you know what I mean? She just really takes everything and runs with it. And how is that different than me? Well, you know, I don’t have a live-in nanny. I don’t have the things that Dallas has. So when I get home from work I’m unloading the dishwasher and trying to get, you know, my daughter in the bathtub and talking to the other school moms about lice and who's got it and how we’re going to get rid of it. So, in real life my life isn’t quite that glamorous. But I think that’s why it’s fun to watch Dallas because I think there is a side of you that wishes you had that... then there’s another side that I don’t know if Dallas has ever, you know, rolled in the mud with your kid after it rains."
Cheryl is a really down-to-earth person, making watching her on the show that much more entertaining!
