It's Time for Taxes... (Urgh.)

It's the time of year that most American's dread (or love.)  Depending on whether you're getting a refund, you may hustle to your accountant to get your taxes done.  If you end up paying, however, you might be waiting until the very. last. minute.

Understanding that everyone's pace is different, Walmart has made it easy to pop into into your local store and handle the issue once and for all (or, at least for this year.)  Whether you have a simple 1040ez, or you're looking to issue 1099's to your freelancers, there is a budget-friendly option that will get the job done.

It used to be that you had to come with a shoebox full of messy paystubs; Walmart's tax partners (namely H&R Block, Jackson Hewitt, and Liberty Tax) can sit with you one-on-one and can even help you download your W-2's!  If you don't have time to sit and chat, you can also arrange to drop off your documents.

While refunds are great, it's best to choose the methods that will let you keep most of it.  That's why I recommend having your refund check cashed at Walmart for just $3 (much less than a check cashing store) or have it loaded onto a Walmart MoneyCard or your favorite prepaid card.

To find out the hours and services available at the Walmart nearest you, you might want to check out their tax preparation information page. You can either choose to see what providers are servicing your store OR you can pick the service provider you prefer and see what stores are hosting them!

What company do you use for your tax prep?  Have you even gotten started yet?
