Quaker Oatmeal Perfect Portions is Perfect for Us!

I admit to pretty much letting my kids be completely on their own for breakfast.  I have a 14-year-old daughter, so she usually rounds something up for the younger kids – either cold cereal, toast, or the occasional pancake.  We have also let them make oatmeal; they can warm up the water in my electric tea kettle without any help from an adult.

One issue we have had with this almost perfect breakfast solution is portions.  The younger kids can barely finish off an individual serving packet of instant oatmeal, while my husband needs a minimum of two to fill him up.

Quaker has decided to tackle this issue head-on with their new Perfect Portions Oatmeal.  It is the same instant product we have always enjoyed, but it's in a large, resealable bag, and we can scoop out just what we want for our own individual servings.

The oatmeal is a great idea for allowing each of my children to customize their own flavors, as well.  I can lay out an assortment of toppings, including nuts and dried fruits, brown sugar, and milk; they create their own breakfast to suit their tastes.  Since the oatmeal is unsweetened we can choose how many calories we add, as well.

The oatmeal is an affordable way to fuel up the family.  At just $1.98 per bag, it can fit into your budget, your cupboard, and your busy lifestyle. Find it at your local Walmart in the breakfast aisle!
