Wow. I have never seen this much sickness in my life. Our five kids -- and my husband -- have been battling cold after cold after flu after cold, ever since Thanksgiving! Even with good hand-washing practices, lots of rest, and good nutrition, we are dealing with this awful viral invasion; from the looks of my friends' Facebook activity, we are not alone in this ordeal!
While I really try to let nature take its course with regards to illness, there are some times you need a little over-the-counter help to alleviate the pain and discomfort that can keep kids from getting the rest they need. In this case, I chose to use some of the products that PediaCare makes, because it's a brand that I've been using since the beginning.
We have been using the pain relievers and fever reducers for the kids since they were babies; kids 4 and ups can use the cough and cold meds. I also just started using the hydration products, which are a powder that can be mixed into juice or water to help keep kids hydrated during their sick times.
We were blessed to receive a basket of their kids' products just in time to tackle one of the worst colds we have ever seen at the Knerl house. We like that the bottles are very sturdy (the childproof caps are designed to not leak or fall off), and that the measuring tools that come with them are accurate. It has been a chore to remember who had what dose last, but it is nice to hear less coughing and "Mom, I'm hot!" when the viruses have taken their toll.
