Werther's Original Sugar Free Candies are a Sweet Way to Celebrate the Day!

I am a candy addict.  If given the chance, I'd snack on pieces of anything sweet All. Day. Long.

Now that I'm pregnant, however, I'm careful to monitor my sweets and be certain that I'm not overdoing it.  I tend to get shaky or nervous if I eat even a small bit of sugar these days.  Since I crave flavors like caramel and coffee, I was thrilled to be asked to try the new Werther's Original Sugar Free treats.  They come in a few flavors I was expecting (Original Caramel, Caramel Cinnamon, and Caramel Coffee.)

They also have one very unique flavor: Caramel Apple.  This is my kids' favorite!

The candies taste great, and I love crunching on them.  They have that awesome toffee break when you bite into them, and they also last a long time if you patiently suck on them (which I can never will myself to do.)  With 40% fewer calories than regular Werther's Original Hard Candies, I can have a couple on a car ride, in the plane, or when sitting at my desk.  I tend to crave sweets when I drink my morning and afternoon cups of coffee, so these have been a lifesaver for me when I crave a greasy donut or chunk of cake.  I get the sweet flavor I want, but I'm not going to be jittery later.

Since they are individually wrapped, you can toss them in a bag or drawer, and they keep fresh for when you need them.  (I like finding one unexpectedly in my mass of papers and clutter -- SCORE!)

This is a responsible choice for candy lovers, that I'm glad I found out about.  I keep a small jar at my desk with the cinnamon ones in them (my favorite).  If you struggle with balancing your sugar intake, I think you'll find these to be a satisfying option.
