The Smurfs 2 To Arrive in Theaters Soon!

I have to admit that, being a HUGE Smurfs fan as a child, I was not sure how the original Smurfs movie would leave me feeling.  Could they improve upon something that was already so good? Would my kids enjoy it as much as I hoped I would?

Well, the original Smurfs movie was pretty cute, and my kids took to it like most kids did.  Now that The Smurfs 2 is scheduled to arrive in theaters this week (July 31st), I have an extra reason to get excited.

As as Walmart Mom, I was able to screen some preview clips of the film on a trip to Bentonville.  The movie wasn't even finished yet, as some of the characters were still sketches in a few scenes.  What I was able to see, however, was that it had the same light appeal to kids, with the original real-life actors I enjoyed the first time around.  With the inclusion of a few new characters, it seemed fresh enough to get my kids attention the 2nd time around.

While we fully intend on seeing the movie, I wasn't able to attend a full preview (some of my fellow Walmart Moms, however, were, and I encourage you to read about their experiences and fun party ideas here:)
