My toddler is reluctant to finish potty training, meaning that he can hold it for a very long time. This usually isn't a problem during the day, but -- at night -- he often wakes up to a soaking wet diaper, clothes, and sheets. Since I know that it will be a little while yet before he masters night time bladder control, I really wanted to know if there was a diaper out there that could handle absorbing night-time messes.
Luvs new "Night Lock" diapers aren't available until September 16th, but I was able to try out a package before they hit store shelves. I put them on my little guy before bed, let him drink a full sippy of milk, (which is usually a "no-no") and hoped for the best.
He woke up with a soggy diaper, but no leaks! Unlike the Luvs I remember from my early days of parenting, these kept from bunching up, and the tabs stayed sturdy, too.
As you can see below, there is a good shape to these diapers. There is an obvious absorbent strip down the middle where more liquid can be held. I found these to be comfy and the tabs seemed extra flexible, making it easy to put on a squirmy toddler.
I think I'll be giving Luvs another look after not using them for awhile. With little boys (who are especially notorious for leaking out the top of their diapers), it's important that my diaper not let me down!
