Review of Mike the Knight: Magical Mishaps on DVD (Giveaway)

Mike The Knight: Magical Mishaps is the story of a sibling pair who aim to go in different directions with their careers.  Mike, the little boy, wants to be a knight; his sister, however, is determined to be a wizard.  His sister's good intentions to help out Mike with his "missions" via spells seems to always backfire, leaving kids enthralled in ridiculous and totally harmless situations that must be resolved.

We aren't one of those families who is totally against stories of magic. We love the tales of King Arthur, get a kick out of the BBC's "Merlin" series, and strive to create a balance between the imagination of "magical" stories like C.S. Lewis' Narnia books and Biblical truth.  This DVD, while purely for entertainment, does have some lessons to learn, in spite of the fantastic scenarios.  Mike's motto: "Be a Knight and do it RIGHT" is inspiring and straight forward advice for kids who are faced with difficult decisions in today's world.

Parents who value problem solving, teamwork, and -- of course -- chivalry, will enjoy watching this DVD with their kids.
