Review of Chicken of the Sea's To-Go Cups

I am just one of two people in our family that likes tuna and salmon.  This is unfortunate, because I really believe that it can be a quick and easy way to get some much needed nutrition during a busy week.  In fact, tuna in a can was a pretty simple fix for a day alone with no lunch plans, until Chicken of the Sea went and made it MUCH SIMPLER!!

Their To-Go Cups are single, serving containers of tuna, salmon, and pre-made tuna salad. I gave them a try during the start of our school year with the thought that they would be a good school lunchbox option.  Since we take most of our meals at home, however, I quickly realized that these were just as useful for a busy mom (especially one like me, who -- with a new baby -- finds it hard to fit good meals and snacks into her day.)

The tuna and salmon taste just like the kind you get from the foil pouches.  I quickly realized that the servings were perfect for me.  I could toss them on top of a salad, or eat them straight from the cup.  The tuna salad, however, was designed to be put onto a sandwich, (or, in my case, a tortilla.)

What did I think?  My son really thought the salad was delicious.  I thought it had just the right amount of moisture and sweetness.  It was a bit too "peppery" for my tastes, however, as I'm really sensitive to chunks of cracked black pepper.  For most pepper-lovers, however, I think this would be excellent with some cherry tomatoes, shredded cheese, and onions.

You can find these new To-Go Cups at your local grocer, in the canned seafood aisle.  They come in packs of 2, giving you an easy option for a lunchbox or snack pack in your purse!  Get more info at the Chicken of the Sea website!
