Review of Body After Baby Leilani Body Shaping Garment

Not my body... but the garment I wore.

I have tried most of the body "shapers" and support devices sold on the market today and designed specifically for moms after giving birth.  Many of them are for moms who have had c-sections, specifically, which is good since I have had 6!

The line of products from Body after Baby look to be something that works for moms of all ages, stages, and sizes.  They have 3 products for the time after having a baby, and - unique to my experiences - one of them if for the time 6-8 weeks after you have had a baby!  My son is 8 months now, but that doesn't mean you can't still use the Leilani Body Shaping Garment, like I did.  It is super supportive, giving you the extra core strength you need to carry baby around.  It is thin and smooth, so it won't show under clothing.  It cover from the thighs to just underneath your bra, so it won't get in the way of nursing.  I looked at least 10 pounds lighter with it on, and could fit into size 4 clothing, down from my size 6 without it!

One thing to note about this product is that it is snug.  Very snug.  You'll want to follow the instructions on the website for sizing very carefully.  If you are on the border between two sizes, order larger.  I almost thought I couldn't wear this product upon putting it on the first time.  It was so tight, and I had a hard time getting it up over my thighs.  I figured that I would try again another time, but not after just getting out of the shower.  It turns out that the tiny bit of moisture that I had on my body was keeping the garment from pulling on.

There are some features of this product that are convenient, if not a little awkward.  There is actually an "access" panel that lets you use the bathroom without taking off the garment.  Since this is designed to be worn under your panties, you'll want to carefully follow washing and care instructions to keep it fresh and not ruin the material.

Super strong, supportive, and slimming, this is a very well-constructed product.  It would be terribly difficult to tear the material; the seams and stitching are very high-quality.

The product is priced at $99.99 right now on their website.  It is the only slimming garment you'll need, from 6 weeks postpartum until you no longer want to look good under your clothes!
