Review of Hotmilk Lingerie Nursing Bras and Attire

My husband and I did the math on how many years in our 12 year marriage I have been either pregnant or nursing.  The answer - 8.97 years -- surprised us!  No wonder I have hardly any memories of wearing fashionable clothing since we've been together!

Things have come a long way since I had my first baby, however.  Maternity clothes look less like sailor dresses and more like real people clothing (just a little more forgiving).  Nursing wear passes for regular clothes, but has even easier access than before for giving baby the milk he needs.  One company, Hotmilk, is doing an amazing job of not only making nursing wear fashionable; they make it sexy!

I had the fun of trying out one of their nursing nightgowns that can also be worn during pregnancy.  It is slimming, so, even if you have a bit of a belly after the baby is born, you feel pretty in it.  With a neat lace pattern in front, it's cut to slim your waistline.  I felt very attractive in this gown, and the thick material and pretty color made it appropriate to wear around the house all day!  This is such a comfy staple of my wardrobe now; it is perfect for lounging in the weeks after baby is born -- all the way up until he weans!

The "nursing" function is simply the fact that the front pulls down in front to nurse.  It doesn't really give as much as some pieces I own, however, so I have to use one hand to hold down the material while I'm feeding my son.  For a tiny baby, this could be a bit difficult.  For my son (who is 9 months old already), he has mastered nursing enough to not need my help giving him breast to latch on to.  It's the perfect thing for me to wear during bed sharing and naps.  It helps me get more sleep and I feel covered when I'm not nursing.

The gown (which is more of a dress) is available now for under $40.  You can check out their entire selection of nursing bras for about every style you can imagine!
