Review of Draft Day on DVD! (Giveaway)

It has been a long time since I saw a movie with the hubby that was just for us.  We typically love sports movies, and we are both Kevin Costner fans, so you know we were excited to see Draft Day, now available on DVD, Blu-Ray, and digital.

The film takes place pretty much in one day.  It's a play-by-play of what goes on behind the scenes of the NFL draft, and it is intense.  Even if you don't like sports, you'll love this film -- especially if you're into business or strategic battles being played out on the big screen.  Jennifer Garner also makes an appearance in this film, as the love interest of the main character.  She's sweet, but firm in this role; she takes the boys down a peg or two!

The movie, which is rated PG-13, was originally supposed to be an R rating, which confuses me.  We usually don't watch R-rated films at my house, because the language is usually excessive.  This film, however, was not that provocative, and the few bad words that were uttered didn't stand out as any more common than in an action-film (like the Superhero kind.)  While none of the characters start out as being role-model types, the challenge of picking the perfect draft for the Cleveland Browns (a true underdog team) does give them all the opportunity to act with integrity -- possibly changing everyone's lives for the better.

I would watch this film again, which I almost never do.  This movie wasn't too predictable, but left you feeling good in the end.

You can rent or purchase this film via Amazon.
