We Don't Want You to Pre-Rinse Your Dishes. Seriously. (Giveaway)

This post was made possible by Double Duty Divas and Cascade. I was compensated for this post, but all opinions are 100% mine.

Having 6 kids in the house means dishes. Lots of dishes.  And while we are going through a hand-washing routine right now due to some plumbing upgrades in our kitchen, I have always treasured my dishwasher.  Having one less thing to do is amazing when you are as busy as I am.

I am also trying to train my kids to do more around the house.  It's a battle, isn't it?  You can get them engaged and motivated to help, but it still takes so much work to train and supervise and get them going so that they don't cause even more work in the long run.  Doing dishes is no exception to this rule.  Even having kids load the dishwasher can be crippling to your productivity if they fail to do simple things like rinse the dishes before they load!

Cascade has taken some of that need for micro-managing away with their Platinum formula of dish detergent.  It actually works better with stuck on food that's been there up to 24 hours.  Why? Its enzymes need something to cling to so that they can work, meaning that stuck on food is the perfect environment for the active ingredients to do their thing.

So, do I need to worry if my littles get lazy and just toss a crusty dish in the washer? Nope.  Mama Bear gets to save her "stern voice" for much more important matters!

Consider these quick stats on why this new development in dish-washing is a good thing (even if you don't have kids at home.)
  • Almost 96% of people spend up to an hour pre-washing, but around 74% aren't happy with the results.  Either there is streaking, spotting, or so much food left that they have to rewash!
  • 11% of people prewash because of other reasons, like fear that food left around on the dishes will clog their pipes.  But most washers come with a built-in garbage disposal -- what's up with that?
Cascade is hoping you'll try out this new technology in dish washing and give their Platinum product a try.  They are even giving consumers a $5 rebate when they purchase!
