Celebrate Holiday Viewing with Your Favorite PBS Friends and NET!

We love watching Christmas shows with the kids, and since 3 of my boys are big PBS kids fans, that means that we are excited for the new line up of shows that celebrate the holiday with our favorite characters.  Three new specials will be airing for Nebraska (NET) viewers:

 Curious George: A Very Monkey Christmas - A Christmas quandary for George and the Man With the Yellow Hat: what to give each other. The Man finds George's wish list, but it's filled with geometric shapes, and suggests that George make him something. The special features classic Christmas songs and three new ones, "Are You Ready?," "Something as Special as You" and "Christmas Monkey."

 Peg + Cat + Holidays - The episodes celebrate both Hanukkah and Christmas traditions while teaching math concepts in its own inventive way that has already garnered the series three Emmy awards. Segments include “The Hanukkah Problem,” “The Christmas Problem” and “The Penguin Problem.”

Elmo’s Christmas Countdown - Elmo and Abby try to help Stiller the Elf (Ben Stiller) track down the 10 numbered boxes in his magical Christmas Counter-Downer. Musical numbers with Sheryl Crow, Anne Hathaway, Jennifer Hudson, Brad Paisley and Jamie Foxx are also featured.

The viewing lasts from now until Christmas, but here's what you can expect to see on each day:

December 17th on NET-1 & NET-HD:
· Curious George, A Very Monkey Christmas – 8 AM & 3 PM
· Peg + Cat + Holidays – 12 PM

December 19th on NET-1 & NET-HD:
· Peg + Cat + Holidays – 12 PM

December 22nd on NET-1 & NET-HD:
· Elmo’s Christmas Countdown – 10 AM

 December 23rd on NET-1 & NET-HD:
· Elmo’s Christmas Countdown – 10 AM

December 24th on NET-1 & NET-HD:
· Elmo’s Christmas Countdown – 10 AM

There will also be holiday themed episodes of Super Why!, Odd Squad and other NET Kids favorites!  Check your local listings for times and channel numbers.
