Quick! The kids are hungry, and you don't know what to make!
This quick and simple recipe, based on the flavors of fajitas, was a yummy weeknight supper at our home. Mix and match meats and veggies, add your own toppings, and watch your kids enjoy orzo!
To create this dish, you'll need:
Cook the meat in a skillet with a little olive oil and garlic. When fully cooked, add in peppers and onions. Meanwhile, cook the orzo according to package instructions in a separate pot. When the orzo is done, drain and add into the meat and pepper mix. Add the seasoning, along with enough water to make it moist and evenly mixed. Serve immediately.
You may choose to sprinkle with shredded cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, sour cream or guacamole. (Our kids enjoy it plain.)
