Help Children in YOUR Local Community with the Champions for Kids Program!

*The following post is an important message that means so much to me and my family. Although it is part of a sponsored campaign through the Motherhood, all views are heartfelt and 100% my own.

I'm so excited to be telling you about a partnership between my local Walmart and the Champions for Kids program --- an organization that has been helping youth nationwide for the past several years.  Specifically, my local Walmart in Blair, NE is putting out donation bins in the front doors for you to use for your donations; all items will go to benefit the Tekamah-Herman Schools Backpack program, which provides nutritious snacks and meals to kids for the weekends when they might not otherwise have access to these foods.

How can you help?  Shop the Blair Walmart through March 4th, and put your shelf-stable snacks in the boxes.  They'll be delivered to the coordinator of the backpack program at the conclusion of the drive.

And if you're not local to where I live, check your Walmart store for Champions for Kids branded collection bins.  If you give, your gift will go to a local kid-helping charity in your area, too!

In addition, Champions for Kids, General Mills, Kellogg’s, Emerald and Kettle Chips will provide 13 awards, totaling $45,000, to school districts and participating youth-based organizations based on the total number of donated items collected in each store. That's very, very good news!

Stay tuned for details of my shopping trip!
