Science should be one of the more exciting subjects we learn in our homeschool. Unfortunately, textbooks want to make it boring and dull, and kids aren't made to sit and be lectured to all day!
When looking for fun hands-on ideas for sharing science fundamentals with all ages of kids, we have had good luck with the Clifford the Big Red Dog Kits. (We reviewed the Animal Science Kit awhile back, and loved it!)
This Magic Science kit from the Young Scientists Club featured magic... or rather how science can appear to do magical things! A big portion of the lessons in the kit involves mirrors. We learned what made them work, and how to manipulate images to create amazing effects!
The best part of these kits is that they require no preparation, come with almost everything you need (except for things every family will have on hand, like water), and involves kids as young as 3 in the projects.
You can learn more about this particular kit, which is an easy and entertaining way to get your kids excited about S.T.E.M. subjects, at the Young Scientists Club website! All the Clifford kits can come each month directly to your home if you wish to order the mail-order subscription series.
Wanna Win? We are giving one lucky reader a kit of their choosing! To be entered to win, use the form below. Open to U.S. residents 18+ only. You have until March 31st at 11:59 pm EST to get your entries in!
