Strength and Shine for Hopeless Hair: Schwarzkopf Essence Ultime Omega Repair & Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner

I have embarrassingly fine and brittle hair. It is so weak, that I dread going to get my hair cut more than the dentist.  Every single time, the beautician shakes her head and asks me what kind of routine my poor hair has been through to end up so damaged.

Honestly, I do very little with my hair.  I wash it daily because of my busy life on the farm which requires frequent washings due to the dirt and dust.  I blow-dry it maybe 4 times a year for special events. I curl or flat-iron it even less.  I limit product to my shampoo, conditioner, and the occasional mousse. Because of genetics, however, I end up with lots of breakage and a fine texture that makes it seem like I have very little hair.

I was pretty excited to try the new Schwarzkopf  Essence Ultime Omega Repair & Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner that is now available at Walmart, after seeing the commercials with Claudia Schiffers' amazing hair. I couldn't expect my hair to look just like that, but sure this could help, no?

I started using it three days ago in place of my regular shampoo and conditioner.  I didn't change anything about how I used it except for allowing the conditioner to stay in my hair for 1-3 minutes before rinsing (presently, I was just rinsing it right away.)  The bottles state that the formulas are "fast drying", but my hair is so fine, It dries within minutes, anyway.  So I can't say I noticed anything different about this.

How did they work?  After the first washing, I could feel my hair was a bit softer, but not exactly much different.  By the second washing, however, I was so thrilled to see a little natural root lift going on.  Yes, I had some volume that made it appear that I had flipped my hair upside to blow-dry it (like we did back in high school.)  All I had done, however, was comb through after towel drying with a Wet Brush, and then allowed it to air dry.

My husband even said, "What did you do with your hair?"  He said it was soft and "thicker."  My hair, thicker?  This is the guy who didn't even notice when I switched from glasses to contacts.

I'm really excited to continue using this product, especially since I don't have to buy it from a salon.  I have tried "repair" products from salons in the past, and I was never quite sure what they were doing, they seemed to smell quite awful, and they were expensive.  This product, however, has a pleasant, mild scent, and I can see that my hair is shiny and showing less stress.  I also noticed that when rinsing the conditioner out of my hair in the shower, it didn't leave behind a greasy or "slippery" feeling on my hair or on my skin.  The shampoo is low-lather, but very effective.

Shampoo on the right; conditioner on the left. A little dab will do ya.
This is a pretty easy switch to make for such favorable results, don't you think?  This shampoo and conditioner are priced at just $6.97 each, meaning you can get 3-4 times the amount of product over brands that are only sold in salons.  Get both of them (along with the entire OMEGA Repair & Moisture line) now at Walmart stores or shop online!
