Volume in a Powder? Yes, It Exists!

I have awkward memories of getting ready for a high school dance by doing my hair at a friend's house.  We would wash and blow-dry our hair upside down, then flip it upright to get the kind of root volume that the late 80's and early 90's required.

Thankfully, 2015 called, and it's armed with a more simple solution to volume: Schwarzkopf Styliste ULTIME Biotin+ Volume & Texture Volume Powder!

How does it work?  The directions on the tiny container really say it all.  This "magic volume powder" requires you to just lift sections of hair at the roots, sprinkle a little powder on the scalp, work in, and enjoy the volume!  The powder is very, very fine, so no residue is seen, even on unwashed hair.  And the smell... it's quite wonderful!

As you can see from the photos, the powder really does hold root lift very well. With nothing done but just  running a brush through, it had quite the volume for my fine, limp here. I can imagine that with some extra styling, like with the No H20 Styling Spray, it would look fantastic!

You'll want to wash your hair after a day of wearing the powder, as it can feel slightly sticky by the end of the day.  I can see this being my go-to product for fluffing up my roots after a long commute in a plane with my hair back in a pony, or whenever I need some extra lift that can withstand moisture and heat!

This is just one of the many awesome products available from Schwarzkopf at Walmart and Walmart.com.  Priced at just $6.97, it is salon-quality and professional results you can afford!  See my other Schwarzkopf product reviews for more details!
