We are so thankful that the weather has cooled down a bit. This means my boys are outside all the time, riding bikes, playing in dirt, and tossing the ball around. And while we do most of our play in the late afternoon hours, there is a magical window of time between dinner and bedtime that the mosquitoes aren't biting, the breeze is perfect, and lights come out via active play!
My kids really enjoyed the samples of the Reactorz play balls from COOP Sports. We tried out a 4" Gripz round ball ($7.99), as well as the Micro Football ($7.99). What I immediately liked about these was that they were easy to grip, made from a semi-rigid outside shell, and came in very cool colors. We inflated them a bit when we got them, and headed outside for some action!
Moses liked these more than any other kid. That's because he's a bit small for his age, and often feels left out when a lot of coordination is required. Allowing him to toss the ball up and catch it not only gives him great exercise, but he can develop those motor skills that can be a bit hard for him to master.
As you can see from the photos, the ball lights up with even the slightest touch, and it's easy to see in daylight! Imagine how bright they light up at night!
These are just two of the balls in the line. They also offer an 8" inch playground ball ($17.99), soccer ball ($17.99), regulation size basketball ($19.99) and a light-up disc ($9.99) -- frisbee golf, anyone?
I really like how durable these are. They are also soft enough that getting smacked in the head with one (which happens quite a bit with 5 rambunctious boys) won't cause anything more than a bad case of side-eye.
Find these at Toys R Us online and in-store!
