If there are two things my boys love, it's graphic art and the Bible. So when the Kingstone Bible was released earlier this year, I knew that it would instantly captivate my boys of all ages! And I was right... ever since we opened the box that we got to review, they have been studying these books for hours each day!
The Bible is an amazing account of the Church, but sometimes, words alone can't help explain it to kids. That's why I was intrigued with the idea of a graphic retelling of the most important parts. This project has been in the works for awhile, and it's now available for the holiday season to gift to those that you love!
But not just kids will enjoy it. Any comic fans will be amazed by the quality of the styling, illustration, and scripting. In fact, I was impressed to learn that some very talented people worked on the Kingstone Bible, including top Christian authors and illustrators with credits from Marvel and DC Comics! At over 2,000 pages, it is the longest graphic novel ever published.
The hardcover copies of this amazing book were released in three volumes, and they have over 10,000 art panels. All the illustrations were done by hand with pen and ink! You can find them for a very affordable $75 for the set -- or buy one at a time for a great gift under $25!
You can also find shorter, paperback editions of the accounts for under $15. (As you can see, these are more compact for travel, but equally as brilliant!)
Wanna Win? Thanks to the generosity of the folks at Kingstone, we have a fun giveaway for you! On lucky reader will win the grand prize of the full 3-volume series of the Bible hardcover set! 3 other winners will get a softcover title chosen by the publisher. To be entered to win, just use the form below by December 12th at 11:59 pm EST. Open to U.S. residents only.
*Samples received to review. Opinions are my own.
