It's amazing to me that we have the technology to turn ordinary plants into amazingly sturdy building materials. What I didn't know, however, is that this tech was now turning rice into toys!
That's right... the adorably, hands-on toys from People's Mochi line are made from rice. They are a safe, healthy way for babies to learn and play, and I am in love with the little trumpet that they sent us to sample.
Check it out:
It's very durable, but easy for small babies to manipulate. Just a very gentle blow of air into the mouthpiece forces an adorable squeak to come out! Even the smallest of babies have the power to create beautiful music with the Mochi Trumpet! The pretty pastel colors are a gender-neutral touch that I love. It's such a classic-looking toy that helps babies 3 months and older learn about how their mouths work. They can gnaw, suck, and be rewarded with sounds. There is a nifty ridged teething surface, too!
But, there's more! We also tried out the Brain Builders line from People Toy Company. These are very engaging...
The Cry No More Baby Rattle acts like a classic rattle with beads to shake and listen to. But it also has a very clever (and calming) feature: womb sounds! Just push the button to activate. It's safe for newborns to use.
Finally, we also checked out the very unique Push and Pull UFO. This brightly-colored toy has several rods that babies can push and pull. They will be rewarded with sounds, and can also push the button in the middle for fun melodies! This is a very simple, but well-thought out toy. It's appropriate for babies 6 months and up.
Which toy do you like best? See them all at the People Toy Company website. You can also check them out on Facebook and Twitter!
