So, it had been far too long since I had been out with my husband. Having 6 kids makes it a challenge, and we just really couldn't justify getting away for a night. When I was invited to experience the Carrabba's World's Largest Wine Dinner on March 21st in Omaha, I was over the moon! Wine, food, and time with my hubby? I was in!
Getting dressed up in my favorite LuLaRoe dress and jean jacket, I was ready for a night on the town. Thankfully, I have older kids that can babysit.
Calabrian Cavatappi (a spicy pasta with a beautiful burrata on top), paired with Pieropan Soave. Delicious!
While the night got longer (and more excellent), I was really happy to have journeyed out for a special evening with my favorite guy. I can't say enough about Landon and the staff at the Omaha Carrabba's, and I'm grateful for their hospitality. I can say that anyone would have had just as wonderful an experience. Everyone there at our table was happy, laughing, and enjoying the food. I've already marked my calendar for the next event, taking place on April 18th at 6:30 pm.
Here's a peek at the menu for the upcoming event:
I was happy to indulge in four courses, four wine tastings, and lots of memories. Be sure to get your seat now for next month's Wine Dinner! (And thanks to Carrabba's for the complimentary experience!)

Once at Carrabba's, we were seated in a reserved seat, with beautiful table decorations, linen tablecloths, and wine waiting. I was excited to see the carefully prepared menu just for the wine event!
Even with the darkly-lit restaurant, I could see that the menu was awesome! I was eagerly awaiting the main course, where I would try veal for the first time.
I enjoyed:
Insalata Fiorucci (Salad) with a beautiful Chloe Pino Grigio from Italy!
Veal Marsala (my husband chose the Tuscan-Grilled Sirloin) with a Sequoia Grove Cabernet Sauvignon -- from Napa Valley!
We ended it with a "Chocolate Dream" cake and a Joel Gott Zinfandel. What a perfect pairing!
While my husband isn't much of a wine drinker, he was pretty impressed with the first glass of the tasting. (He held off on the rest to let me enjoy the evening and drive us home.)
