Join the Search for the Juicy Juice Chief Family Time Officer - Win a Trip! {EXPIRED}

Thank you to Juicy Juice for sponsoring this opportunity to tell you about an amazing campaign. Opinions are my own.

Even though I work from home, I still work -- a lot. And that means that I'm spending less and less time with my kids in ways that I find meaningful. I see them. They are there. But we aren't always engaging.

I'm not alone, According to a recent Pew Research Center report, more than 56% of all working parents say the balancing act is difficult. And 70% of degreed working mothers specifically struggle to balance family and work in these busy times!

Juicy Juice has partnered with me to tell you about one of the ways they are hoping to help. As part of its year-long 100% Family Time initiative, they are working with Meredith Sinclair (author of Well Played: The Ultimate Guide to Awakening Your Family's Playful Spirit) and will be giving tips and ideas for even the busiest families to spend more meaningful time with their kids!

I took their research to heart this week. I tried to purposefully carve out a little extra time each day to give my active, rowdy, and happy boys a little attention -- on their level. Since they love being active, and the weather is warming up so nicely, I joined them in some outdoor time.

I watched them play in the dirt.

I joined them in a little catch.

I even helped Marcus with his Frisbee technique.

I spent a little less than an hour that one day. But the results were lifelong! My kids were so happy to have me join them. Even with messy hair and sweatpants, they saw me as amazing for taking time to care. In reality, they were the amazing ones. Spending that time with my boys always reminds me of why I'm blessed to have them in my life!

Note: As the weather warms up, I find that my boys find all kinds of excuses to stay inside. They will often come to me after just 15- 20 minutes outside and complain that it is hot. Now, I know, that on a 55-degree day, that's probably not true. They are likely just thirsty!

Active kids need proper hydration. That's why we keep some extra Juicy Juice 100% juice in our spare fridge so that kids can get a cool drink of their favorite juice, then get back out and play again. I also remind myself to ask them regularly if they need a drink. All I have to do is bring the juice out, with some little cups, and they come running!
