Active Fun for Summer Parties: Our Review of PaddleZlam™

If you're like me, you groan a little when you think of how you will entertain kids outside during summer get-togethers. Teens, especially can be a bit hard to get moving. (And who really wants to pull out the boring, updated version of lawn darts?)

When we were asked to review the new PaddleZlam™ game from the people who brought us the very cool Reactorz Light Up Balls (COOP Sports), I was totally in. We have four occasions coming up where I will have to figure out how to keep bigger kids and grownups entertained, and active play was certainly at the top of my list!

How does this game work? The two cones have a hole in the top and also on the side where opponents work to hit their pickleball ball in, using only a paddle. It's tougher than it looks, and we actually had the kids work on their paddle skills before playing a full game. Called "The Ultimate Anywhere Game", this two-team game can be played with two or four players, anywhere you wish! (Grass, sand, driveway, or other play surface.) on the grass, on the sand or in the driveway.

It was a blast.

I was super happy that the whole game folds up nicely and stores inside a pretty small box. We have no extra room at our house (believe me), so having something that can be hidden away during the winter months was key. The paddles were of amazing quality, and the orange coloring on the equipment ensured we could find everything when we were done -- no matter how tall I'd allowed the grass to grow!

Look for this product at Target stores nationwide now. You'll be able to enjoy your Memorial Day get-togethers, graduation parties, and more with some active play for all abilities. We love it!
