If you grew up in the 70's and 80's, I know that the pictures below will look familiar to you. That's because most Gen-Xer's had a mad stash of Little Golden books on their shelves and they were one of my favorite ways to spend my free time. I always keep my eye out for old copies of some of these classics when I'm at garage sales, but they are usually in too poor shape to share with my now, very active kids.
I have super good news on how this is no longer an issue! Kohl's has launched their latest Cares for Kids campaign, and the merchandise is all in the spirit of the original Little Golden Books! They sent us some of the plush and the books to review*, and I am so very, very impressed with them!
Each high-quality, hardcover book features not one, but three separate stories bringing together some of Golden Books most beloved tales and some new ones, too!
The summer collection includes:
The Kohl’s Cares collection is available at all Kohl’s stores and on Kohls.com now through
early July. Prices are so reasonable, so you can pick up one, two, or more items to save for birthdays and holidays -- or give them to your kids for a fun summer reading option.
To date, Kohl's has raised more than $317 million through the Kohl’s Cares merchandise program. To reinforce the company’s commitment to children and families, and with your help, Kohl’s has provided financial support to hospitals across the country. The donations fund hospital outreach programs focused on children’s health initiatives and address the specific issues needed most in each hospital’s community.
