Here's How to Find Valid Discount Codes for Hobby Lobby

I used to think that Hobby Lobby was a store for crafters, craft-lovers, and crafty people. I was so wrong.

Hobby Lobby is a mecca for all things, trendy, beautiful, unique and just plain awesome for home decor and educational supplies. In short, I can shop for amazing things for my bedroom walls at the same time I'm stocking up on paints for our homeschool. It's no wonder that I can spend hours there searching for the best deal.

But as a mom of 6, it's important I save money, too. That's why I've relied on coupon codes and discount code offers both in-store and online to get me more for my hard-earned dollar. Here are the ways I've found to get super savings on all the cute things I buy there.

1. Check the home page.

Yep! This is often where I find some of the most common codes. I simple glance at the home page shows a coupon code I can click on right away. In this case a 40% off any one regularly-priced item. Not bad, huh?

You'll also find one or more additional offers that don't require a code, usually in the form of free shipping on a certain sized order. You definitely don't want to miss out on these sales and promotions, that are usually for a short-time and may coordinate with that week's sale ad.

2. Snag a Sales Ad

Speaking of sales ads, Hobby Lobby is great about issuing weekly coupons for different department categories, holiday items, and more. Many of these items are available to buy both in-store and online, making it a great opportunity to make multiple purchases for the best deals. While coupon codes and offers may be the same as those listed on the home page, there are often separate deals that can be found. And you'll see at a glance which department categories are at a huge discount (50% or more) without a coupon code.

To find the weekly sales ad, you can click on the tab from the home page or try this link

3. Sign up for the newsletter.

If you aren't getting Hobby Lobby emails, you really are missing out. In addition to being among the first to learn about new sales and promotions (which can help you make sure you can get the best-priced items before they run out), you'll get exclusive offers only made available to subscribers.

You can find the link at the top of the Hobby Lobby home page. You'll get confirmation that you've been subscribed immediately.

Your first email might not come right away, so you'll want to sign up even before you want to shop and save!

4. Search coupon sites for codes.

Still need savings? Used up your only code? Get more by looking at the top coupon code sites to get single-use or other codes that you can help to bring you order total down. I love that these codes are issued all the time, and they are continually being tracked by other deal-hungry Hobby Lobby shoppers and listed on sites for everyone to use!

Where do I look?

I've been using the site dealspotr. The site is continually updated with codes all throughout the day -- and night. In fact, I personally know many of the deal finders who are sharing their top coupon code tips. I know these people take shopping and saving seriously, so they will be keeping on top of the newest and best coupon codes and deals as they happen.

Simply type in the store name you want coupons for in the search bar (in this case, "hobby lobby"), and you'll get the top deals first.

Then, you can narrow down your results to just shot promo codes/coupon codes. You can also see deals by online vs in-store, free shipping offers, freebies, and more! If there are no deals for a particular category, nothing will show up, and deals that cover more than one category will show up in all applicable category results.

Love a deal? That's when the real fun begins. In addition to seeing the likelihood that the deal will be valid, you can like the deal, repost it on dealspotr, or share the deal with your friends on social media. You can also save it to come back to later; dealspotr will notify you before the deal expires so you don't miss out!

I'm a firm believer in planning ahead to save the most money, and using coupon codes in addition to already great sales is the best way I've found to get more awesome Hobby Lobby goodness with less money. A coupon code can be the difference between paying full price (who does that?) and walking away with a deal you can feel good about.

What are you favorite ways to find Hobby Lobby coupon codes? When is the last time you got a great deal at Hobby Lobby? We'd love to hear about it in the comments!
