My kids haven't always loved math. I completely understand. It wasn't my favorite subject in school, and I just remember endless worksheets and nothing particularly fun about it. But now that I'm a homeschool mom, I can teach math MY way. That's why I was thrilled to get the chance to review the Wise Ol' Owl Blackboard Calculator from Singing Machine!
This is a very straightforward tool and toy. Kids can type in numbers to add, subtract, multiply and divide. Numbers are said aloud by the calculator as they type, and the answer is given for them in the same format as they would see in a vertical worksheet format.
But that's not the best part of this product! It speaks three different languages, too! Switch the setting between English, French, or Spanish and hear the owl speak the numbers -- and answers perfectly in each language.
The product is perfect for kids of any age, even those who are too young to fully understand math concepts. My 4-year-old giggles hearing the owl speak in French, and it's been delightful watching him learn numbers on his own in three languages.
