It's the time of year that I both love and dread. It's fall, so while the weather is cooling down nicely, we aren't having a much light here in Nebraska. That's why a good lamp is so important to keep things well-lit when the days get shorter.
I recently had the chance to try my choice of a lamp from Brightech, and I was really needing one. My old floor lamp was about 12 years old and starting to spin at the base -- I can't even remember where I bought it. I knew that lamps had changed quite a bit over the years, but I wanted something that was a nice combination of modern and classic. I picked the Carter LED Floor Lamp and waited for it to ship.
When it arrived, it was packed nicely and included good instructions. I had it out of the box and put together in less than 10 minutes. I was impressed with how heavy the base was; this lamp wouldn't be accidentally knocked over by my recliner or toppled by the kids due to flimsy design, like some lamps.
What I love most about the lamp is the shade. It came rolled out in a sheet and was easy to clip into the shade frame to make a perfect circle. It's a lovely color, and it lets just the right amount of light into the room with the included LED bulb. (We've switched to LED with many of our lamps. The lighting is so much more white and natural and pictures look good under it, too. No more sickly yellow pics!) The pull-chain is of high quality and reminds me of something like I grew up with!
