If your kids are like mine, they are already making those holiday gift lists, and the lists most likely include some tech - like true wireless earbuds. It can be overwhelming for a parent to know what offers excellent sound quality and what doesn't, especially since so many of the earphones for kids are based on trends. Now, in full disclosure, my house is full of boys, so we are not fully on the L.O.L. Surprise! bandwagon, but my kids are a good judge of whether a toy can be used for a long time, and these two products are sure to make any kid smile.
L.O.L Surprise! Wireless Earbuds
First, we tried out the L.O.L. Surprise! wireless Bluetooth earbuds. These have all of the features you would expect from a standard set of earbuds, with a few additional perks for the fanbase. First, they come in a striking pink and blue design, so they are less likely to get lost in the house.
You do have to be careful of the little rubber earbud covers, as just like with grownup earbuds, they can come off and get lost. I would recommend investing in a few kid-sized earbud tips you can find online with budget earbuds to keep with these, especially if your kids like to share. They fit better into the ear canal than the tips you get in adult-sized earbuds.
As far as features, there are plenty. The case snugly holds the buds when not in use, and offers up to 5 full charges. Since each earbud charge gets you 5 hours of playtime, you can fully charge the case and get 25 total hours of drama-free listening. If you're in the car or somewhere that charging can't be done easily, this will certainly be a benefit. Kids are really bad about remembering to charge their gear, and this overcomes a major pain point for parents.
The earbuds come with two types of chargers: a USB charging cord for the case, as well as a special two-pronged cord to directly charge each earbud. Note that the cords come included, but the 5V DCadapter doesn't. Grab one before putting this fun accessory under the tree.
The earbuds also feature status indicator lights, microphone and call answer/reject buttons, as well as play/pause buttons and easy connection to any Bluetooth device! I recommend this for kids of all ages (just be sure to monitor their earbud use so that the volume is at an appropriate level.) I found this to be a very good option for kids earphones with decent sound quality, and I actually reach for them from time to time when my own set goes missing.
