My favorite Barbie memories goes back to when I was 7 years old. I only had a couple of Barbies myself but my friend across the street had every Barbie known to man. And clothes? She had TONS of clothes because her mom sewed outfits for her Barbies. Looking back on it, that was one dedicated Mama. You had to have alot of patience to make all those little tiny clothes.

I loved the gymnastics Barbie when I was younger.
ReplyDeleteI always loved putting my Barbies in great peril when I was a kid. I got pretty creative finding new ways to threaten their lives. LOL Once I tied her to a branch that hung over the creek behind our house. I should have had help from GI Joe, because the string came untied and Barbie dropped into the stream and floated away!
ReplyDeleteI always wondered what happened to her.....
I LOVED my barbies. My mom never got me any extra accessories or clothes for them, so I made my own clothes out of tissue paper and tape. And I made houses and furniture out of boxes. I had so much fun.
ReplyDeleteI loved the Barbie Dream house and now my daughter is starting to play with Barbie!
ReplyDeleteI can remember dressing all my Barbies up so fancy with their hair all done with my Grandmother's earrings~and then I took pictures of all of them as they were so pretty!I was looking thru my Mom's photo albums and she still has the pictures ~I will have to show my grandaughter's!
ReplyDeletePlease enter me in this great giveaway~I would love to win for my granddaughter's~Thanks!
I'm too old to have had a Barbie, but when I was buying the clothes for my daughter's dolls years ago, I was always enthralled at the variety and detail (and truly, the early ones had better clothes).
ReplyDeleteMy sister & I had decked out our closets as our Barbies' houses. We kept them set up for the 2 years we lived in that house. That way we could play barbie anytime we wanted for just a minute or all rainy day Saturday.
ReplyDeletegosh my two sisters and i used to play barbies all the time. we loved it, and it was a rare time when we all got along.
ReplyDeletei would want this for my girls...they already love dolls.

ReplyDeleteIt's kind of a silly memory but I can remember my cats constantly trying to chew on my Barbies! They love them for some reason. My poor Barbies had teeth marks on them.

My nieces would love these. One loves animals and the other is nuts about cooking in her E-Z Bake Oven. I would be thrilled to be able to give these to them as an unexpected "Just because I love you" gift.

I still remember the names of all my Barbies; my favorite memory is Ken's funny old 70's style velour jumpsuit that was passed down to me by an older neighbor
ReplyDeleteI remember all the awesome clothes.
