My savings tip is to buy on Amazon. I buy everything on there -- textbooks, storybooks, DVDs, music. It's cheap and hassle-free!
ReplyDeleteI go through sales flyers and coordinate my coupons with the sales in each one

I get my prescriptions filled at a grocery store pharmacy that takes competitor prescription coupons.... so everytime I fill one of my prescriptions, I get free groceries! I usually rack up $40 - $100 a month in gift cards for the grocery store!

My savings tip is to pay cash for everything. If I don't have the cash, I don't buy it.
ReplyDeletebasktcakes@aol.com
check for instore coupons when you get there.
ReplyDeleteMy best savings tip is to clip coupons as much as possible. Keep them organized in a container with dividers labeled for different types of products. For example, snacks, cereals, pastas, frozen, dairy, etc. Make sure to bring your coupons with you when you shop.
ReplyDeleteMy tip is to shop at BJs a few times a year and stock up on staples. They accept coupons too! Just make extra room to store stuff and don't forget what you put in storage.

I buy things when I find them at a really good price, especially after holidays when things are on Clearance. You just have to be careful to buy things you really need.
ReplyDeleteMy tip is to use coupons along with only sale items. Don't buy the item until it goes on sale, and then use your coupon with it. Thanks!

My tip is to always plan out a trip shopping before you go. Make sure you know what you need and have coupons at the ready.
ReplyDeleteMy saving tip is to save all your change in a jar until you absolutely need it. I've saved so much money doing this, one time I bought everything I needed for Christmas this way!
ReplyDeleteThanks!

BJ's organic milk is cheaper than any other grocery store in town, so I usually grab two half-gallons rather than one and save the trip back out.

My tip is to head to BJ's and get a Perdue roasted chicken. They are only $4.99 here and make a great family meal with a few sides.
ReplyDeletewe were just talking about getting a bj's membership, this would be a great incentive. my saving tip is cutting coupons, and club card savings.

My tip is to keep track of what you are spending your money on so you can decide where to cut and where to save the most money. I use alot of researching online for the best deals for most things I buy.
ReplyDeleteUse lots of coupons and shop after-holiday sales!

Planning a menu each week can be a great way to save money!
ReplyDeleteUnplug your small appliances when you aren't using them, and turn off your hot water heater at night. The water heater takes only 20-30 minutes to reheat the water. The energy its not spending keeping the water hot through the night makes a "reheating session" ultimately more cost effective than having it run all night, especially during the winter or for an uninsulated heater. (Try turning off the breaker to the heater, or looking for a switch on the heater itself.) These small changes will save you $20/month on your electricity bill, easy! :)
ReplyDeleteI've started making a list when I go shopping, and pulling out coupons to use based on what I'm buying. I leave all my other coupons at home - this has stopped me from impulse buying even when "it's such a good deal" and saved us money! :)
ReplyDeletehawaiismn(at)gmail(dot)com
When you see something (other than groceries and such) that you want, check online and other stores to make sure you'll be getting the best price. This will help you save money and the time will make you think about whether you really want that thing or not.
ReplyDeleteThanks for doing the giveaway!

I don't understand how every household does NOT do this, but...you simply cannot go grocery shopping without coupons. And, you have to check sale ads. Unless your "regular" store is notoriously among the best, as far as regular prices/sales go, then you have to pick and choose each week. Unless, of course, you like paying retail. Which I don't.
